LOUIS VUITTON REVEALS 2010 MAN BAG COLLECTION

lv-monogram-revalation

Many fashion brands focus on the ladies, but one designer who never forgets men is Louis Vuitton Handbags. The iconic luxury label has just revealed its mens’ accessory line for fall/winter 2010. It’s a decidedly low-key affair, with traditional shapes and a reinterpretation of the time-honored Louis Vuitton monogram.

Studio director Paul Helbers claims his collection was inspired by “the traveling wardrobe of an African king,” but I’m afraid I can’t see anything so grand here. With names like the Monogram Hexagone, Monogram Revelation, and Monogram Escapade the accessories sound fancy, but the designs don’t really deliver anything to excite. The prices are definitely regal though, with the range costing between $900 and $6000.

But Louis Vuitton Bags fans won’t mind one bit. After all, there’s the fine leather and expert craftsmanship that’s always attracted admirers. So long as the brand continues to deliver quality, I’m sure its bags will prove popular with gents who aren’t afraid to carry a murse.

LOUIS VUITTON SNEAK PEEK OF LARA STONE SPRING/SUMMER 2010 AD CAMPAIGN

The rumors of  Lara Stone following in Madonna’s footsteps and replacing the international pop star as the new face of  Louis Vuitton Bags have proven true. The recently released sneak peek at the spring/summer 2010 shots couldn’t be more opposite to the campaigns involving Madonna.

As opposed to the singer’s porcelain doll poses and fishnet gloves, model Lara Stone is all about relaxation in the new ads. The campaign features Stone stretched out comfortably in the grass surrounded by moss, doves, and LV paraphernalia.

It’s all quite bohemian-chic, free-spirited, and a little Brigitte Bardot-inspired, if you ask me. This seems to fit with the vibe that Louis Vuitton Handbags was going for, according to Marc Jacobs:

After our successful collaboration with Madonna, we are very happy to be working once again with Steven Meisel on the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 fashion campaign, says artistic director Marc Jacobs. “Because the collection loosely took its cues from the idea of the new age traveler, we decided to create a green, outdoorsy set that would evoke a spirit of peace and love. To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty … It had to be Lara Stone.

RIHANNA CARRIES TINY LOUIS VUITTON TASSEL POUCH

rihanna-carries-tiny-louis-vuitton-wears-equally-tiny-dress-004

It looks as though Rihanna has taken a page from Taylor Momsen and decided to now wear dresses that, to quote Charlotte from Sex in the City, are all the way up around her C-U-Next-Teusday.

Not that she can’t pull it off – she definitely can. But I can’t help but think that she’d look just as good and be a lot more comfortable if her Mark Fast dress was just a couple inches longer. We know you’ve got the legs, RiRi. No one is still questioning that. So maybe next time, she can wear something that’s possible to sit down in without getting an rear end full of cold seat, and I’m sure everyone involved would be happier.

Her tiny Louis Vuitton Bags (note: no one knows the name of this bag yet, it’s straight off the Spring 2010 runway) also isn’t leaving much to the imagination. What could she possibly have in there besides a phone and some lip gloss? Probably not anything fun, but I suppose that when you’re Rihanna, you have other people to worry about those sorts of things
