LOUIS VUITTON SNEAK PEEK OF LARA STONE SPRING/SUMMER 2010 AD CAMPAIGN

The rumors of  Lara Stone following in Madonna’s footsteps and replacing the international pop star as the new face of  Louis Vuitton Bags have proven true. The recently released sneak peek at the spring/summer 2010 shots couldn’t be more opposite to the campaigns involving Madonna.

As opposed to the singer’s porcelain doll poses and fishnet gloves, model Lara Stone is all about relaxation in the new ads. The campaign features Stone stretched out comfortably in the grass surrounded by moss, doves, and LV paraphernalia.

It’s all quite bohemian-chic, free-spirited, and a little Brigitte Bardot-inspired, if you ask me. This seems to fit with the vibe that Louis Vuitton Handbags was going for, according to Marc Jacobs:

After our successful collaboration with Madonna, we are very happy to be working once again with Steven Meisel on the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 fashion campaign, says artistic director Marc Jacobs. “Because the collection loosely took its cues from the idea of the new age traveler, we decided to create a green, outdoorsy set that would evoke a spirit of peace and love. To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty … It had to be Lara Stone.

LOUIS VUITTON MULTICOLOR GRETA BAGS

louis-vuitton-colorful-bag

Most Bagista’s will agree that right now, the weather outside isn’t the best to take something colorful and delicate as a Multicolore piece for an outing. But if you live in a warm climate year-round area as I do (South Texas), everyday is a perfect day to sport the most cheerful piece in Vuitton’s collection. Issues such as denim transfers, much hardware, delicate vachetta, and being too much of an attention grabber; I never sought to add a new Multicolore piece to my collection. Louis Vuitton presents it’s fans with a couple of new additions to their infamous line, including this piece, meet the Greta. Right off the bat I like how the Greta is a shoulder bag, and sporting a single flat adjustable strap, it looks pretty comfortable to wear. Also, who new you could find so many details on a single bag including, buckles, ring décor, bands, studs, and a removable body strap! Yeah, this is no boring piece. Of course, Takashi Murakami’s infamous design is present and stunning as usual. This newbie doesn’t run cheap as it carries a $2,020 price tag. Love this piece? Beat the never ending price increase by purchasing Louis Vuitton’s Greta over

MADONNA FOR LOUIS VUITTON AD CAMPAIGNS

0_mad01

Check out the first look at the  Louis Vuitton ads featuring Madonna! It was rumored that Madonna would be appearing in Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2009 ads and those rumors proved to be true. The shots were taken in a French Bistro setting and shot by Fashion photographer Steve Meisel.

After watching a Madonna concert, Marc Jacobs decided to choose Madonna as their new image model.

Designer Marc Jacobs said, “I just blurted out, I think we should do Madonna. I was totally just blown away by it, and moved by her performance, by what she had to say, and her energy.”

Reportedly with this deal Madonna bagged $10 million for the campaign, but that is also said to be a rumor.
