I’m trying to remember what I wore to the airport the last time I went…sadly, I think it included Uggs, leggings, and a hoodie from the University of Georgia, my alma mater.

 It was hardly glamorous, but it’s been a long time since it was de rigueur to dress up for air travel. Kim Kardashian, however, didn’t get them memo. Here she is at the airport, somehow managing to look both comfortable and casual and totally glam.

These pictures are a perfect example of how accessories change an outfit – her oversized sunglasses, leather motorcycle jacket, thigh-high boots, and Louis Vuitton Bags, both in Monogram and Damier Graphite. If it wasn’t for all those things, then her outfit would be boring and regular. It’s the accessories that elevate the look…oh, and that is a Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Tote that I see? I think it is

Louis Vuitton continues to expand their online store and have announced the introduction of the Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram Bags service. The service will allow you to customize your Louis Vuitton Bags, ending up with over 200 million possible combinations on your bag of choice. The selection of bags include the iconic Speedy, historic Keepall travel bag, or the Pegase 55 wheeled cabin case.

Once you choose your item you can pick up to three initials and vertical or diagonal stripes. There are 17 color options to choose from. Once you have entered your selection the site will simulate the design for you to see what the finished product will look like.

Another brand known for customizing items like this is Goyard. Having a design house allow you to customize a signature bag from their line will ensure that your bag will stand out compared to others.

 I love the idea of personalizing a travel bag like the Keepall and Pegase. While I would not check a Louis Vuitton Bags under a plane, I would certainly carry it on or take it in the car for weekend trips.

Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010’s Monogram Eden is a collection of iconic Louis Vuitton Handbags pieces that are reinvented to reference the lifestyle of New Age travelers. One of the pieces is the classic Speedy which is crafted from soft and supple lambskin leather that is embroidered with stripes of metallic Monogram canvas which creates a mesmerizing trompe-l’œil’ effect with the iconic motif.

But the most noteworthy detail of the Eden Speedy is that for the first time ever, the bag has a removable strap (which is absent from previous reinterpretations), and gives you options on carrying the bag by hand or as a messenger bag.

As for the other details, Eden Speedy features a natural cowhide leather and metallic lambskin trimmings, a zipped closure with padlock, double interior flat pocket, soft microfibre lining and bottom studs for protection. Monogram Eden Speedy measures 9.8″ x 11.4″ x 6.7″. It comes in two colors, Peach and Silver. Its available at Louis Vuitton Bags stores for US$2330.

You could also accessorize the Monogram Eden Speedy like in the runway show. The Rainbow and Circus bag charms are available separately for US$560 each.

The Cosmic Blossom collection, the new collaboration between Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton. The collection features Murakami’s superflat artwork printed on Louis Vuitton Handbags pieces.

Cosmic Blossom comes in three vibrant colors (Rose, Bleu, and Violet) on leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories. For leather goods, Louis Vuitton Handbags  has developed an innovative serigraphy technique which gives the pieces a glossy effect and vibrant color. Also, the bags are emblazoned with a heritage LV Bags psignature similar to the one printed in Neverfull bags.

Leather goods pieces in this collection includes a pochette measuring 8.3″ x 5.1″ x 1.6″ priced at US$550 and a tote in two sizes, a PM (19.3″ x 11.4″ x 5.1″) and GM (22.8″ x 13.7″ x 7.1″), US$1240 and US$1480 for the PM and GM respectively.

The collection will be available at Louis Vuitton Bags stores on April 15th 2010.
